Spoon theory

Spoon Theory (brought into being by Christine Miserandino in 2003) can be particularly helpful way of understanding the energy flow of our day and plan for how to manage the activities in our lives.
When we consider our whole-being as humans, our thinking/emotions, our social connections, our spirit/essence, our body and our connection with our natural world and urban environments we need to consider how much do they add or drain our energy levels.
During the Mad Wisdom Cafe as part of Divergence last year, a number of the participants described their experiences as "Overwhelm", and feeling "Unable to keep up with the pace of life". Recognising that what might be one person's energy and pacing through this thing called life, might not be another's, and that your pace is your own and is acceptable. Let us repeat that:
"Your pace is your own and is acceptable".
Spoon theory is one way of considering how to manage the activities of life, at a pace that works for you.
I really wanna say "Keep spooning" but it feels so wrong on so many levels... but I am sure you get the picture
